Kelley’s Fruit and Chocolate Trifle


1 devil’s food cake mix

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup water

1 package vanilla pudding

2 cups cool whip

2 cups strawberries, sliced

2 cups blueberries

2 cups raspberries

2 kiwis, sliced



Prepare cake according to directions on box and cool completely. Crumble enough of the cake to make 8 cups and set aside. In a seperate bowl, whisk water, condensed milk, and pudding for two minutes. Fold in cool whip. Assemble trifle by spreading 2 and 1/2 cups pudding mixture in the bottom of a glass serving dish. Top with four cups of crumbled cake. Arrange half the fruit over cake. Repeat pudding, cake layers and then top with remaining pudding mixture. Arrange the remainder of fruit on top of final pudding layer.
