Technologies at VisionArts
Helping our patients to see better is our 1st priority!
To that end, we use many different eye care techniques and technologies. The following is a short list of just some of the many ways we continue to provide the high level of vision correction we've become known for. If you have any questions about our methods, please feel free to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
- Auto-Refractor/Keratometer: Measures and provides computerized print-out of patient's prescription and curvature of the cornea.
- Automated Visual Field: Measures and provides computerized print-out of patient's field of vision (especially important in glaucoma).
- Auto Lens Analyzer: Computer reads patient's prescription from their current glasses.
EyeMotion Computer Animations for Patient Education: Allows our patients to watch videos of the various lens options available to them.
Smart Mirror Technology: Try on new frames and touch the screen. The Smart Mirror saves your image. Then view the screen and decide which frame looks best!
Optos - This Optomap techology allows us to obtain information about the eye without dilation in most cases. Optos enables us to view the retina in the back of the eye to better look for and detect problems such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, hypertension, and retinal detachments or tears. We can also compare Optomap images from each of your visits to uncover any changes. Although we may still need to dilate your eyes in some cases, Optomap greatly increases your comfort and is more accurate for us to provide you with the best care.
